Synthesis, vibrational and thermal properties of new functionalized 1- (2-hydroxyethyl) -3-methylimidazolium dihydrogenophosphate ionic liquid

Very recently, the hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liquids have gained immense interest and were developed for a number of interesting applications. In this work first time new namely; 1-(hydroxyethyl)-3-methylimidazolium dihydrogenophosphate liquid [EtOHMIM+][H2PO4?] was synthesized in our laboratory. The synthesis is based on an alkylation reaction 1-methylimidazole followed by anion exchange. obtained IL characterized 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopy. Their experimental vibrational spectroscopy been investigated using Infrared Raman spectroscopy, infrared (IR) spectroscopies results, complete assignments performed. Besides, thermal properties following techniques, (i) Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) Derivative Thermogravimetry (DTG) temperature range from 20 to 600 C°, (ii) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) from-100 °C 200 °C. thermogravimetry analysis coupled with mass spectrometry order assess influence measured property.
